At Star Cosplay Shop, we want you to be the hero of your next event. Because our items range from ready-to-wear accessories to highly personalized custom commissions, our return rules depend on the type of product purchased.
1. Standard (Ready-to-Ship) Items
Items like wigs, props, and standard-sized (S, M, L, XL) denim or leather wear:
- Return Window: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
- Condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging with all tags attached.
- Refund: Once inspected, we will issue a refund to your original payment method. Note: Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
2. Custom-Made & Commissioned Items
Items made to your specific body measurements or custom design requests:
- Final Sale: Because these are tailored specifically for you, we do not accept returns or exchanges for “change of mind” or “wrong size” if the measurements provided by you were incorrect.
- Exception (Faulty Goods): If the item arrives damaged, or if there is a significant manufacturing error (e.g., the costume does not match the measurements you provided), please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will prioritize a free repair or replacement.
3. Leather & Denim Specifics
- Natural Variations: Leather is a natural material. Small variations in grain or color are not considered defects.
- Fit Guarantee: Leather often “breaks in” and molds to your body. We recommend trying the garment on for 15–20 minutes before deciding the fit is incorrect.
4. How to Initiate a Return
- Email Us: Contact
returns@starcosplayshop.comwith your Order Number and photos of the item. - Approval: We will provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and the return shipping address.
- Ship It Back: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective. We recommend using a trackable service, as we are not responsible for lost packages.
5. Cancellations
- Standard Orders: Can be cancelled within 24 hours for a full refund.
- Custom Orders: Once production has started (usually 48 hours after order), a 30% restocking/material fee will be deducted from any cancellation refund to cover the fabric and leather already cut to your size.
6. Processing Time
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect your return. It may take additional time for your bank to post the credit to your account.
